The knitted water wheel, stalybridge

Knitted Waterwheel
I have kindly been invited by Tameside Culture Services, and the Stalybridge Canal Festival, to create a new artwork in collaboration with the local community.
The new temporary outdoor sculpture features the waterwheel as an iconic symbol of local industry and of civic pride and power amongst a tight knit community workforce that saw the town grow from strength to strength during the industrial revolution.

10x10 - The Future Is Ours Festival
In October 2021 I was commissioned to mentor a young artist and to co-creating a pubic artwork for The Future is Ours Festival in Manchester City Centre. The Future Is Ours festival celebrates young people’s creativity, voice and action in 2021 and features original artworks by over 130 young people shared at an exhibition, online and on billboards and street posters across Manchester. During the festival 22-28th October works were launched online and now a selection of the amazing artworks, interviews, video performances and literature are available to enjoy in your own time below.

bridgewater canal, salford UK
2015-17
#FLOATIEST & #SWINGIEST - Commissioned by The Bridgewater Canal Restoration Project & Salford City Council.
Installed 2018 RHS Tatton Flower Show, then at MediaCity and then returned home to the Bridgewater Canal in Salford.
