Artist in Residence

Undertaking artist residencies has been a significant part of my practice for the past 20 years, having served as artist in residence at various creative establishments both overseas and within the UK. Most recently, I completed a two-month residency at The Smith Art Gallery in Brighouse, Calderdale, in 2024. During this time, I focused on advancing my watercolour paintings by studying the changing colours of the autumn and winter seasons, as well as the evolving natural patterns found in the gardens surrounding the gallery. This residency was appointed and funded by Everybody Arts and Culturedale, who provided valuable support for my ongoing artistic development.
